Posted By BarryS With the DDA now reaching further into the concsciousness of employers - has anyone any experience of having universal access audits performed? Is the standard generally high? Are they very expensive? and most importantly - will they become compulsary for public bodies????

Posted By Linda Crossland-Clarke Hi
The answer is yes, you do have to be adhering to the DDA. However don't get too stressed. I have found that there is a lot of scare mongering out there.
Reasonablness is the key to DDA so a balance of common sence and budget comes in to play.
However, if it is seen that an adjustment to your building should be made, then Part M (building regs) is compulsory.
Shout me if you want any more info. Linda SHE Knows.

Posted By Kevin West Barry, As Linda has suggested, yes you do have to comply with the DDA legislation. National Britannia can carry out DDA / universal accessability assessments on your behalf and provide appropriate advice and prioritised actions to assist you with compliance.
