Posted By Paul Barnacle We have just come across a large amount of scaffold, that a number of trainers would like to use. However not to sure what i should be checking to ensure this equipment is safe. Can anyone provide me with a checklist to use in order for me to inspect the equipment to ensure its safe Thanks Paul

Posted By Gilly Margrave What are the trainers wanting to use it for? Training in the safety of scaffolding? If so do they not have a checklist? If not are they competent to train? Bit of a circular argument this. Gilly

Posted By Ron Hunter Unsafe and damaged (but adequately controlled and quarantined!) equipment and work articles can themselves be useful training aids. Why bother inspecting it - apply "sold as seen" principles?
