Im am currently trying to write in-house training manuals for industrial machinery eg pedistal drills, presses etc, Could anyone let me have a copy of a template or an example of a training document to help me make sure I have covered all areas I need to.
Thanks Ian

Ian,

Why re-invent the wheel when you can use the manufacturers instructions for operation whilst adding in your own specific requirments and controls for use. It could then be adopted as an in house SOP for both training and user guidance.
If there are authorised and competent persons who already use the equipment and they are suitably trained, they should help you.The training should also be backed up with related safety risk, hazard and method statements.
Of course if you are talking about medium / heavy industrial presses etc, then it may be more prudent to request the manufacturer to provide specific training. That way,you are less likely to miss critical safety and operational points.

Ian,

HSE's publication HSG129 - Health & Safety in Engineering Workshops - is worth a look at and may well give you help with putting together training material.
