ok folks,
Being a great fan of the information source everyone supplies on this site ,I'd like to time how long it takes me to be told by someone the name of the new overall fire act.
The clock has started...

Thanks

I have subsequently found a brilliant site for all fire related legislation. It is:

No, I think this is it for England and Wales (SCotland apparently is getting a new act).

Information about the Regulatory Reform Committee work can be found on http://www.parliament.uk...ry_reform_committee.cfm.

The RRO will replace a vast array of current legislation (there is a long section in the back of it listing the repeals and revocations.

I think what Ken meant was it's not law yet and it's not an Act anyway it's an Order made under a general reform act.

Scotland (with its own Parliament) has a Bill which may become law. England and Wales await a law based upon the lines of the RRO but, at present the existing system still applies.
