Posted By Clare Haley Hi all
Our company are planning to hold our annual internal Global Environmental, Health and Safety Forum in October and I am struggling to find a presentation subject to give to the team. RoHs and Weee, REACH, Manual Handling and the proposed new Fire order have all been taken. I want something a bit fun, hip and edgy to present......im struggling!!
Any suggestions would be gladly received
Thanks in advance

How about Planning for "Freak" weather conditions?
Topical - yes. (But not exactly hip trendy and fun)!
Damage caused by high winds, flooding and lightning strikes could all be considered. You may already have this as part of your emergency planning package.
Good luck.

How about looking at things in a different manner - focus on the HEALTH aspect, i bet no one else has.
Try something like Alcohol awareness, the morning after the night before. do a little quiz and see home much they know about alcohol. e.g. how many units of alcohol in a pint of lager. What about getting hold a a measure, getting people to pour themselves out a shot and see how many measures are in each glass - most people pour 2 or 3 measures.
I don;t know how long your presentations to be, i have a small presentation on alcohol awareness & also a quiz etc which your more than welcome too.
regards
Dez

Posted By Jeff Manion How about relating health and safety to them individualy and where it might effect them. Fire in the home, detectors, fire blankets escape routes have they family (schools practice them). Electrical safety at home gardening etc. Gardening and hygiene. Food and fod hygiene. Ladders and checks. Cars and driving tyres checks etc. It often when we have presnted hits home. There is factual evidence of accidents at home.
