Posted By Paul Abbott Hi all,
I like to start presentations with relevant interesting/amusing icebreakers or stories.
I have now exhausted my tried and trusted supply and in need of new ones.
I would be grateful if any forum guest members would pass on their tried and trusted presentation treats.
Cheers........

Posted By Zoe Barnett Try some of the stories in the "most embarassing moments" thread. They are funny and you can also boost your cred by swearing blind that nothing like them has ever happened to you.

Posted By Deborah Armstrong Hi Paul
Regardless of the type of training course I am taking, be it Manual Handling, DSE, whatever.... I always commence it with a few slides of "What Not To Do's" such as.
The guy working on his boat, can of petrol in one hand, lit cigarette hanging out of his mouth; or
The guy working on car which as been jacked up using planks of wood; and
Workman on a ladder which has been balanced on a fork lift truck to increase height of ladder....................
Without fail these slides are met with looks of disbelief and always prompt a discussion forum amongst course attendees and it allows me to get the message across to them of what we, working within the safety field, can be up against, and reiterates the need for safety procedures etc, and also the need for training.
Regards,
Debbie
