Posted By Phillipe I am trying to find out what the exposure limits are for asbestos fibres in the workplace. This is out of my field of H&S hence the confusion I seem to be having in tracking it down and understanding it Your help would be very much appreciated Phil

Posted By Kate Graham Take a look at the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2002 which you can find by searching this site which has all recent legislation: www.legislation.hmso.gov.uk

Posted By Mike Asbestos action levels and control limits are defined in this link to CAWR http://www.legislation.h...k/si/si2002/20022675.htm and (partly)interpreted in this link http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/mdhs/pdfs/mdhs39-4.pdf Mike

Posted By Tony Birchall Just out of interest, I heard of a recent case involving an enforcing authority what stated that they will not respond to a call out unless the Control Limit was exceeded. This was during a normal construction project when it was not known that ACM'S were present. It's too late when you are exposed!
