Does anyone have a format for a safety audit for a cafe/restaurant that I could possibly have a copy of

Whilst I cannot help you directly, I suggest that you look at the HSE free leaflets for the catering industry (available on their website). From the numerous documents available you should be able to develop your own audit package with relative ease.
