I am currently dealing with a forklift accident investigation where it is clear both the physically injured person and the driver are what I would describe as victims of the accident.

In fact, I have to say the driver seems on the face of it to have been more troubled by the accident than the injured person.

I am looking for some reference material on this type of subject as this is really the first time I have had to deal with this kind of post accident problem, even after having investigated many FLT accidents previously.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Thanks,
John

Not sure with what respect you are looking for information. Is it accident investigation, specific to FLTs, trauma or all of these?

For accident investigation you could do no worse than HSG 48. If it is trauma and associated shock I may be able to help as I am a trained Trauma Support Group member within my company.

Hi

Also a little uncertain of what you are requesting.

I have a copy of a Specialist Inspector Report (No.60) on "Safety of Industrial Lift Trucks - A Survey of Investigated Accidents and Incidents
[April 1997 to March 2001]

You may find it useful. I will forward it on to you.

Regards
