Posted By Paul Barnacle I'm trying to put a questionnaire together so that i can ask members of staff what elements of the Health & Safety Management System they think are working adequately or needs improving. Has anyone put any type of documentation like this together and if so would you be willing to share?? Kind Regards Paul

Posted By Philip McAleenan Paul, Asking you colleagues what aspects of the OSHMS they think is working well and what needs improving will result in subjective responses that will lead you down a path that is responding to other people’s needs rather than effectively implementing change (should it be required) of your management system. To achieve an objective review of the OSHMS, carry out an audit of the system using standard audit practices that includes assessing the documentation and practice against the safety management system. This will give a clearer indication the effectiveness of the organisation and your staff in implementing the OSHMS. Regards, Philip

Posted By fats van den raad I fully agree with Philip on this one. If you have this kind of review you are proposing, you wil not get a true picture of the HS management system, but merely people's perception of it.
