Hello,
I have just created a DSE Risk Assessment Form, I would be grateful if I could see some other peoples DSE risk assessment forms to see if I have missed anything off mine.
Also does anyone have a DSE presentation I could also take a look at.
Thanks in advance.

I forgot to ask too, does anyone know of a Web site where I can get hold of DSE pics, eg correct sitting position etc.
Thanks again

Sharon you may find something on here, this is a North American site so its references to legislation etc need to be taken into account, but you may be able to cut and paste.

One thing to consider is the Disability Discrimination Act, specifically, given that tomorrow is October 1st, when the Act becomes fully implemented.
Therefore it is essential that any risk assessment does not discriminate against a disabled worker. For example, if they have a visual impairment, can they read the form/checklist? If they have a hearing impairment, they must be able to understand any information communicated by the risk assessor or risk assessment software?
The DSE risk assessment should allow for areas that need to be explored further in order to make a reasonable adjustment.
Overall the DSE risk assessment tool should be in line with disability awareness.
Having been called into a large number of companies to undertake personal risk assessments, I am still surprised in the lack of knowledge of how to resolve even the most basic of issues. One of the reasons for this unfortunately due to DSE risk assessor training too often focussed on compliance issues and not on the ergonomic issues.
