Posted By Merv Newman There are many different sorts of rewards both tangible and intangible (or social) We all crave for recognition and reward. Intangible rewards (a smile, a word of thanks or of encouragement ...) are more difficult to manage but are more effective in guiding people in the right direction than are tangible rewards (coffee and doughnuts, gifts, cash, cars ...) They can be mixed but I feel that intangibles are the most important. And yes they are important to OHS, just as they are to all other elements of our lives
