Does anyone know of safety training providers in Glenrothes and/or Bristol who are capable of covering the following
- Basic First Aid
- General H&S Awareness
- Disc cutting
- Working at heights, especially mobile alloy towers, and
- Entry and Working in Confined Spaces?
We have teams of installation personnel based in both locations who we normally drag all the way up to Aberdeen in the frozen north and I am keen to reduce the travelling if at all possible. I'll be doing a google & SHP search anyway but if anyone can suggest trainers to contact I'd appreciate it.

There is a company that a I know of who did courses in Glenrothes or it may have been Leven Iam not sure which. The company Abertay Training - www.Abertaytraining.co.uk.
They also do teaching courses on most of the subjects you refer to. The contact person is Paul Horsburgh - 07074687246.

Expert Ease International can provide trainers for most of your requirements;
We have a General H&S awareness program (modular format) that can run from 1 to 3 days depending on how many of the modules you need.
We have a range of heights programs and we run a complete suite of confined spaces training programs from manager to operator as well as train the trainer courses.
As alternative given the geography, you could consider e-training and we can deal with all of your topics on that.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed by posting on the forum or through direct email - I will review the various options and recommend accordingly.
Must say I was surprised there weren't more options in Bristol itself, but there are several in Wales within a 50 mile radius so looking at those too.

I work in partnership with a company out of Wellingborough, Northants which provides the training you require.
i would say this is approx a 3 hour journey from Bristol (A bit closer that Aberdeen)

Our Head Office is in Caerphilly, an hour from Bristol and we will train on your site (numbers permitting). In addition, National Britannia have Training specialists (many of whom, who have attended the IOSH Training Providers Forum and have learned Accelerated Learning Techniques)who are located throughout England , Wales and Scotland and as such are 'local' to every area. This is particularly useful for multi-site organisations as the need to find different organisations to provide training in different locations is removed, therefore, ensuring consistency.
