Posted By Ian Stone Does anyone use these withing ther organisations, they are wall mounted pull down lever type can crushers. Our student Union want to have one fitted but the staff are worried that the students will muck about and injure themselves/others! Any suggstions on best way oif using them?? Thanks ian

Posted By Bill Elliott These wall mounted devices are only really designed for domestic use and probably would not last very long at all in a busy studnets union. They also only crush aluminium cans. If they are serious about doing their bit for the environment and sell on their crushed cans there are markets out there willing to buy. A significantly bigger bit of kit will be necesary if you want to reduce the volume significantly. If memory serves, Orwak Linley make a range of "compactors" for this type of work - be warned thought they are not cheap.

Posted By Laurie I've worked in both a uni and an FE college where the union wanted to do their bit for recycling. In neither case did we install crushers. We just got them collected uncrushed in bulk. They take up more space, but are less risky Laurie
