Hi all
URGENT!!
Does anyone know who and how to contact at BT with regrds to an urgent safety matter. Work commenced on moving a pole some time ago outside my home and was abandoned for some reason. Operatives have left the pavement open with a hole of about a metre deep covered by a wooden pallet with approx half a ton of rubble next to it.
I am on to the local authority but need to contact BT also
Thanks
Kenny

Have you tried ringing their customer services line (on your BT bill or in the phone book)?
Tell them of your concerns and that you would like a resposne from the H&S team - mention that you are raising the issue with the local EHO etc.

This is a local authority prerogative.
I did some work experience with my local authority some tiem ago. and their HSO was adamant that if it was taking place on council property, i.e. the highway, they would make sure it was done properly.
After all, if BT had finished the job, and left it uneven, any one tripping or falling would sue the council - it is then up to the council to chase BT
