Posted By Martin Daly LGV stands for Light Goods Vehicle and is a goods vehicle between a light van and a vehicle up to 7.49 tonnes gross vehicle weight. So there for can carry only light loads compared to HGVs.

Posted By trucker Martin you got that wrong (LGV)stands for large goods vehicles and as sutch can carry goods up to 44 ton unless carrying a STGO plate then they can carry goods upto a much higher weight
