Caught the tail end of some short film on Channel 4 in the early hours of this morning, not too sure what it was all about.

It featured a fork lift driver going out of control causing increasingly horrendous accidents, very OTT & Pythonesque!

Thought some recent postings requesting safety videos could use it!

Stevie,

When you say "could use it", how would we get a copy?

It sounds like a German short film I saw on video a while ago called something like "Klaus the Fork Lift Truck Driver". It started off looking like a conventional safety video but gradually got more and more surreal. Klaus (if I've remembered his name right) went back to work after each fatality as if nothing had happened. Does that sound like it?

Kate - only saw the last piece, but it sounds like the one!

Sean - The "use it" was in jest, because although not a safety film from the small bit I saw thought it might have more impact.

It is on video though if Kate's memory serves........

Research thus far reveals that Forklift driver Klause contains the following scenes:
Death by bisection or dismemberment (excluding decapitation)
Death by chainsaw
Death from decapitation
Death from slicing by such a sharp object, that it takes some moments for victim to fall apart.

Wow.. gotta see this movie

The commentary did consist of very sensible advice on the correct and incorrect use of FLTs (don't lift anyone on the forks, look out for pedestrians ...)

For anyone interested, you can download a copy of the film from the following site:

http://www.moviesonline....%20-%20The%20First%20Day

Its about 6.5MB so may take a little while to open/download, and the commentary is all in German, but its well worth it!!
