Can anyone assist me in any way.

Having had asbestos surveys finally completed for all of my companies premises, I have now been asked to compile an asbestos policy to sit at the front of the asbestos register.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a good example of an asbestos policy?

Many thanks in anticipation

Merry Christmas,

Kind Regards, Ken Chappell

Not sure what the organisation does.

Have sent something direct.

It is basic, but may assist.

Hi guys,

Any chance I could have a copy too? Some of our maintenance staff enter properties to carry out minor repairs where asbestos is sometimes present, and I would like to have a look at a typical asbestos policy to see where I may utilise one.

Thank you,

Simon

I am sure you are aware this should be specific to the workplaces and activities carried out etc.
The duty holder under CAWR is required to make a risk assessment using the information given in the survey report along with their detailed knowledge of activities carried out in specific premises. The risk assessments should then used to form the basis of your management plan. Use the Material assessment algorithm (type and condition of ACM and the ease with which it will release fibres if disturbed) and the priority assessment algorithms (the likelihood of someone disturbing ACM)
I would be interested to know what type of surveys were carried out and what your intention for the premises is.
