Hi Folks,

Does anybody know what types of certificate are available for pesticide spraying and what their lifespan is? One of our gardeners had a cert (which I have never seen) and which has disappeared. My feeling is that such certificates shouldn't have an infinite life, but to be honest I don't actually know, any help gratefully recieved, or any pointers to definitive standards in this area,

John

It's a PA1/6 for general spraying I think, for knapsack sprayers and CDUnits. I don't think they have an expiry date on them but we send our guys on refreshers every five years.

Have a look at HSE free leaflet AFAG202 - Use of pesticides by hand. They refer to the PA1 and PA2
