Posted By Tony McBreen I look after a site with a buildings footprint of 42,000 sq mtrs and 34 roof access points. I'm having trouble finding companies with the right credentials to carry out a WAH survey. I already have a quote from Safesite Ltd but need comparative quotes for our finance department. Can anyone help. Thank you

Posted By Kevin West Tony, Further to you request. National Britannia can carry out a completely independent working at height survey to help define temporary and permanent controls, staged over immediate, 3 month and best practice. Feel free to contact me for further information. kevin_west@natbrit.com

Posted By Kinnikin What does such a survey entail? We have people working at heights and I am wondering whether we need to carry these out as well. Is it a survey concerning the procedures and control measure of working at height in the required locations or is it more structurally based such as 'is the platfom structurally sound' etc

Posted By Tony McBreen More structurally based to prevent falls from height and to comply with WAH legislation - the survey report will focus on roof access and roof maintenance, window cleaning operations (external & internal), CCTV, lighting and lightning conductors, telecommunications and any other operation you might want to carry out at height. The management of this work would be taken care of in the usual manner, through your H&S plan with good robust procedures.
