Posted By Sian Walsh-Keary I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction or post an SOP for infestations of Bed Bugs. This is for Homeless Services in a hostel situation. Any SOPS would be greatfull on this subject. Many Thanks Sian Walsh

Posted By Laurie I'm afraid my own SOP dates back nearly fifty years, Sian, when I was living in an area of the Gulf now known as Sharjah. Standard Sunday morning ritual was to drag one's bed outside, dowse all the nooks and crannies with lighter fluid, and set light to it! (Yes of course we were aware of H&S issues - that's why we dragged the beds outside!) Not a lot of help to your partcular situation, but I'm sure that some of our EH specialists will come up with something more practical. I do remember that it is important to destroy the eggs as well. We used to spray liberally with DDT every night before climbing into bed! The good old days! Thank God for HASWA! Laurie
