Posted By Laurie Can't give a reference of the top of my head, but I know there is a building spec for the height of handrails etc in a toilet for use by the disabled, so there is almost certainly one for handbasins too. You might try one of the disability websites - Try a google on "disability now" Laurie

Posted By neil prosser Hi i,ve seen a spec from the district surveyors association and the rim of the basin is 750mm.I work in a disabled factory and have 2 male members who are wheelchair bound. The two members have complained that the basin is in the way and are having difficulty manouvering comfortable. Both have asked if anything could be done about it. so we have agreed to remove the basin and adapt one in the gents accordingly that is suitable for them both.
