Some assistance please.
When an environment agency issues a waste licence for removal of a material, does the licence apply from date of issue or from when work commences.
Question relates to work in Scotland.
Can you also point me to where I could get hard fast info to support what is requirement of licence (covertly).
Quick response needed.
Many thanks.

I could advise you here but may need more info.
You mention licence for removal of waste. Do you mean a waste carriers licence to transport waste? The date of commencement is normally on the certificate or comfort letter your receive not the date you applied.
Re obtaining copies of waste managament licnces - SEPA hold a public register of all licences (they also hold records of the application, inspection reports, method statements etc.
You can legally get a copy under Freedom of Information/ Environmental Information regs. Telephone the relevant local office and/or regional office and arrange to inspect the register. You can of course just turn up.
Legally you don't have to give your details or a reason for checking - say you're from Audit Scotland/FOE for quick service!
