Surely blowing up the entire dog is easier than trying just to blow up it's nose? (my dog's got no nose etc etc) :)

Theres a leaflet produced by the RSPCA called "How you should deal with an unfreindly dog" that has some helpful information aimed at people eg postmen and women making deliveries and home visits.

Leaving aside that there are some nasty beasts out there, is it also a case that you have something approaching a phobia surrounding dogs? If so, you may want to approach your Dr re overcoming this. If it interferes with your working like, likely the NHS will pick up the tab!
