Posted By M MacDonald Hi again, I feel I could be the H & S rep for some time and therefore need training. I would like an introductory course to being responsible for H & S, in central Scotland (Preferably Glasgow but I can travel further). I have searched for courses and there seems to be so many - can anyone recommend any good courses/providers? Many thanks, Michelle

Posted By Peter Lee Hi Michelle, when you say safety rep do you mean trade union safety rep? If so you need to contact your union official to put yourself forward. Once you have done this you can go onto the TUC training courses free of charge. The TUC certificate will allow you to apply for TechSP (TechIOSH). If its non TUC then a lot of people start with the NEBOSH Certificate. Good Luck.
