Posted By Jay Joshi It appears that the COSHH regulations implementing the new Workplace Exposure Limits with effect from 6 April have been “published” The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (Amendment) Regulations 2004 Made 20th December 2004 Laid before Parliament 23rd December 2004 Coming into force:- 17th January 2005 :-All regulations except regulations 2(a), (c) to (f) and (h), and 4(b) 6th April 2005:-Regulations 2(a), (c) to (f) and (h), and 4(b) The text of the regulations can be found at:- http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2004/20043386.htm There is an HSE Press Release on The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (Amendment) Regulations 2004, but the press release only refers to the new restrictions on the amount of chromium VI in cement came into force from 17 January 2005 However, the same amendment regulations also implement the new WEL framework with effect from 6th April 2005.
