I am considering taking an environmental course that would lead to the NEBOSH Specialist Environmental Diploma.

I would appreciate any advice/guidance from my fellow safety professionals & their opinion of the value of the course, & which provider they could suggest, I am based in the Midlands.

Best regards

Andrew,

I did this course on a distance learning basis with ATM Safety & Environment based in Coventry. Contact Jane or Pat Collison.

It involved 2 tutorial days in Nuneaton. The course was a little easier having already done NEBOSH Dip. 1, but I would say with a reasonable amount of work and determination, it is an achievable qualification.

You need to find your own workplace in which to carry out the audit assignment which forms part of the assessed coursework.

At a cost of £600, plus a seperate revision course which I took with Norwich Union (£295)you should be able to do it for a grand including a few extra text books.

All the best

Woodland Grange also provide courses for this but it would be more expensive.
