Posted By Martin Taylor Hi everybody I have been asked if we can train one of our warehouse supervisors to become an RTITB trainer for forklift drivers to carry out refresher training and evaluation. He has identified a company that will train him to RTITB standards but would the company facilities need to be assessed by RTITB as suitable e.g. available space for truck movements in the examination stage. What is the norm in house or bought out training. For those who do it in house are there any tips on manageing the porcess - I am concerned about the independence of the trainer in this case. Looking forwards to your repsonses - thanks Martin

Posted By Bob Matthews Hi Martin In my experience you would need to ensure that whoever you have to carry out the training has the correct training himself, ie up to RTITB/ITSSAR standard. This training would give him all he needs to carry out training/assessments etc Although this is in house training the trainees would still need to be trained up to this standard and tested accordingly. I hope this helps Regards Bob
