Posted By Lisa Eldridge We employ three handymen who are not based anywhwere but travel around doing jobs across 12 care homes. One of them is a painter/decorator, and the other two do a variety of jobs, such as basic plumbing, fitting kitchens, removing furniture, and other odd jobs. I was just wondering whether anyone has any risk assessments that I may use to adapt to the jobs they do. I have a list of everything they do and the equipment they use etc so I am not relying on someone to do all the work for me!
Thanks Lisa

Posted By Al Beevers Hi, I work for an M&E company who have just taken on some handymen. I'd love to receive a few pointers on their risk assessments as I've been asked to cover all their activites. Having asked what they will be doing I was told, "everything, really". I'm hoping this doesn't include deep sea diving!

Posted By Robert K Lewis Don't forget that whatever you issue can only be a reference point as a starter. NO RA for this type of peripatetic operations can be satisfactory without an on site assessment by the operative. This is REAL dynamic risk assessment.
I use my own version of TAke 5 from total - which is not to be confused with the O'Rourke version of Take 5 which is something completely different.
