Hi all

Can anyone provide me with details on what qualifications a first aid trainer must hold. I understand about HSE approved training providers and competent persons, but I am still having trouble finding out about required qualifications trainers must hold. Possibly I am just thick.

Hi Paul

Have you tried the HSE website. They have downloadable leaflets on First Aid.

Kind Regards

Hi

The HSE issue licences to train the First Aid at work course. To train this course you would need a form of professional training or teaching qualification and the First Aid at Work Certifcate. To be involved with the examinations at the end of the course, you will need an assessing qualification.
