Can anyone clarify the difference between these words?
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2004 has repealed some statute and revoked others. The Fire Precautions Act 1971 has been repealed and others have been revoked.
Is one word used for an Act and another for a regulation? I know it doesn't matter eitherway as the RRO will be the statute used.
In the Dictionery the words have identical meanings so it must be a "law" thing.

You are quite right, it is a law thing.
