Posted By Rakesh Maharaj Just having received a notice from my LA regarding planning permission request for the erection of a mobile phone mast 50 feet away from my back yard, naturally give rise to a number of concerns. The least of all is whether it'll block my view of the countryside! Much has been written and mooted about the hazards associated with EMF emissions from these phone masts. Have any of you been keeping an eye on up-to-date developments and research regarding the effects of exposure to these 'whizz beams' emitted by these masts? If so, I would appreciate being directed to links/research abstracts, papers or anything that would advance my anti-mast cause. Many thanks in advance Regards Rakesh PS: I was speaking to a neighbour last night and he said that while attempting to lobby the other local residents to object to the erection of another phone mast in the area, that the mayor approached him in a very 'friendly' manner and advised him against this approach becos the council will approve the request anyway! Talk about sustainable environments!
