Posted By artisdeeian What is the new working at height regulation, I believe the 2mtr rule still applies, However, access and egress using step ladders will determine through risk assessments that any height goes. Am I correct. Regards Ian

Posted By Heather Aston Ian No the 2 metre rule will not be retained. There was a thread about this in January on this board. Try searching using the words "metre rule" and you'll find it. Yes it will be down to risk assessment and not just for step ladders. Start here for more info http://www.hse.gov.uk/falls/index.htm Heather

Posted By Ralph Baqar I believe they are due to come out sometime in April (an election date may put this back). The two-metre rule is to be taken out.

Posted By Alan Hoskins The draft regulations are available now (as the condoc) and as I understand it they come into force in April. The two metre rule was never in the regs. HSE reconsulted (if that's a word) because the construction industry wanted it put in. Alan
