Posted By Michael Gavaghan Can you help we have a lot of standing water in our factory due to a leaking roof. Quote after quote has been given to the powers that be saying we will get it done? But it looks like an accident will have to occur as usual before anything is done. Does anyone have any past examples of claims on this type of accident waiting to happen. I beleive there have been some precedents set in court about this type of problem. Just to show them the costs involved and consequences of ignorance. Many Thanks Michael

Posted By Neil Pearson Cost-benefit arguments are irrelevant here. Take a closer look at Reg 5 of the Workplace Regs - it's an absolute duty. It simply has to be done, regardless of cost, if you want to comply with the law.
