Posted By Clive Lowery Tim, from experience it depends on what card you are applying for. I received mine (H & S Manager) within two weeks, however we have had operatives waiting up to 3 months and then only after we have chased the application. Good Luck Clive

Posted By Dave Wilson Construction Skills Certification Scheme Run by CITB and if your company adheres to the scheme then you must have a cSCS card at the right level to work on construction sites. Send off money they send you a book you attend a centre where loads of computers are laid out and take the test, multiple choice, but some people do fail. you then have to send more money to get the card with your photo on and have to repeat every 3 years I think. idea was to cut down on construction site incidents as all workers will be trained. never been asked for my card and likelyhood is never will. Most PS or PC ask if you participate and leave it at that. Is it worth it? good idea in principle but examiners are pretty inflexible. no waiver for MIOSH, RSP to sit test completed it in as long as it took the PC to bring up the question, 100% in less than 2min, wate of my time. Loads of other sectors now jumping on the band wagon through SPA and someone is making a packet from it!
