Practical solutions to construction problems

Do you know of equipment suppliers with good technical design solutions to age old construction problems.
Quiet machines with low vibration characteristics. Light weight podium steps or really safe, easy to use access systems.
Simple lifting aids and material handling solutions. Inovative vehicle safety systems etc.

The solutions are out there but it takes research (your own) to make sure that they suit you and your own business because as usual there are many opinions..its like asking someone which car to buy I am afraid.
Hilti claim to have worked closely with HSE in the development of low vibration tools.

There are no simple answers in construction - we tried Podium steps, but apparently there is a shortage!!
We have some information from GAP on trigger levels for Vibration equipment - but it still leads to every project using different tools, different designs, different environments, different problems. Elimination can be achieved - but the costs are not always welcomed.
Seems it is a case of trial and error and being able to afford the solutions or forward thinking managers who will let you implement the solutions!!
Sorry can't be really helpful - but there are a lot of problems with construction that the Act/Regulation makers and enforcers can't even provide real solutions for or understand the cost that real solutions will take and the amount of time and effort needed by the Safety Manager to convince people to change.
Frustrating - you bet!
