Does anyone have any PPP, Etc on human behavioural habits. Along the lines of when away from work, why do people take unnessessery risks carrying out simple DIY work etc. about changing peoples personnel safety awareness. anything will do, just email to me direct.

Have a look at HSG48 Reducing error and influencing behaviour and also 'Psychology of safety' by E. Scott Geller. Both very good and very indepth. You could also have a look on http://www.safetyperformance.com/. All are primarily work related but it's not too big a leap of faith to look at the principles of behavioural safety and identify why people do not follow the principles when outside the work place. Basically the belief is always 'it wont happen to me' the reasons behind this belief will vary imensely from person to person depending on situation and life experience. (and juding by my posting you're not the only one who needs a dictionary - apologies to the pedants)
