In the course of our work, my staff go out on blue light stops with the police. Does anyone have a risk assessment or safe operating procedure that I can crib from please.
The type of work is pulling lorries off the main highway to check their loads etc

Can't the police help by offering you their risk assessments for comparison?

As you are out with the police and only they have the authority to require a vehicle to stop, (unless you work for VOSA), you should be working under the risk assessment written by the Force you work with, as you are in their vehicles.
As part of our briefing for operations conducted with outside agencies we ensure they the agency staff understand and are aware of what is required of them and our officers.
If you want to speak with me give me a ring, 01242 276411
