Posted By Andy R. Your agenda should be your own, due to the items being specific to your site, current issues, safety plan etc etc. Only other comment which may help is to keep the day to day, sometimes minor repair issues out of the committee meeting. If it becomes a list of repairs, of which some cannot get done within timescales, it does become repetitive, boring and just a complete whinge, and a get at the engineers meeting. Keep the meeting to discussing the H&S plan, wider issues, current accident priortities, etc. Hope this helps. Regards Andrew.

Posted By Stephen D. Clarke Hi, As I understand it the functions of safety committees are: to promote cooperation, investigate recurrent problems, examine accident trends, consider reports from HSE, develop H&S arrangements, monitor/review H&S policy and be an integral part of H&S management but should not get bogged down in trivia. Hope this helps gives you some ideas

Posted By Simon Heesom Try to think out side of H&S, if you have no items to bring up do you need a meeting. meetings for the sake of completing your annual action plan is not efficient to your business. maybe the time would be better spent conducting a work place inspection, or providing a tool box talk.

Posted By John Borland We have a standard agenda which is briefly as follows Review previous meetings minutes as there may be action points to review progress on; Review findings of safety inspections and EHS area audits for Corrective Action issues and agree appropriate actions Any Presentations or updates on salient subjects Complaints, Reports or Accidents Regards, John Borland AOCB Most issues should fit into the above, so I hope you find it helpful
