Hi all,
I am an MA design research student, interested in PPE in the construction industry. I am interested to find out about the test procedures that head PPE (Hard Hat, Goggles, Breathing Mask and Ear Defenders) have to undergo in order that they can pass the test for the British/European standard, can anyone shed any light on this at all?
Another thing that I am interested in is the area of the law that states that the user of any non-disposable equipment must be trained on that piece of equipment. Where can I find this in the law?

A nice chap who may be able to help you.
I recently assisted him in the development of a new design of Hardhat, which obviously had to comply with the relevant standards so he should know (or know someone who does).
