Posted By Martin Taylor Is anybody aware of any need for first aiders to undergo a medical before being assigned as first aiders (with a 3 year reappraisal?). Our HR group have just implemented such a system - am I missing something? Martin

Posted By Clairey O Hi Martin As far as having to have a medical before becoming a first aider in the workplace that is news to me, I have been teaching first aid for 10 years now. I would expect HR to sit down with the employee and explain what the roles and responsibilty, and what the previous accidents have and would likely to be. I have met so many first aiders who cannot commuinicate, and dislike blood........ Hope this helps Claire
