Try the HSE's excellent Stress management standards page. There are lots of questions to ask within your company to determine how well you are doing on each of the six areas.

Hi Jim
First i would try and do a servey of the workforce this should then show you where the areas of stress levels are the worst then talk to the people in these areas they will tell you why they get stressed with the task that they do. you can then look at what control measures you could put in place to reduce the risk. hope this helps.
Regards Ben

Try the Ambulance Service Association (ASA) website www.asa.uk.net If you have a look under 'publications' in the health, safety and risk 'bit' then you will find a new set of guidance on carrying out a stress audit/assessment. I know that it is for the ambulance service but I am sure you can apply it to any organisation. The guidance is linked to the new HSE standards and we have worked closely with the HSE and other key experts in producing this.
All the best!

Strangly enough I'm currently doing my final NEBOSH Dip 2 assignment on Stress. This coincides nicely with an issue about a violent chappy at my place of work.
Anyway, as Heather says - Try the HSE's excellent Stress management standards page. It also has an example of a strees policy, a HSE indicator tool for work related stress with user manual & a self assessment hand out.
By the way, the HSE analysis tool that accompanys it makes interesting reading if you try it on yourself. Trust me I have.
