I have just been on a course provider who has stated the below.
'Proposed changes from 01/07/2005 will mean that successful completion of the revised NGC will carry the automatic award of the new TechIOSH qualification'.
Revised NGC means after 2002.
Is this the case, at the moment the NGC will only get you Affiliate membership.
Regards
Darryl

Most of the questions are answered in 'Copmpetent to the Core' on the front page of this site.
A point of order is that there is no automatic entrance to any level of IOSH membership. If someone is advertising this it is incorrect. Please let me know by e-mail which organisation this is so that I can check it out.
In addition to the NEBOSH General Cert post-2002 you will be required to demonstrate at least 5 years in a role in health and safety with a verified job description. Also this category will not open until after the IOSH AGM in November.
Old certificate holders who are in IOSH membership at the transition in November will be able to apply with evidence of 7 years experience. This will not be available to certificate holders who are not members of IOSH at the time.
