Posted By Malcolm Hogarth Are any of you involved in vetting employers prior to sending work placements to them? I have currently got a nine page proforma that we use for this purpose but it is a bit long winded and is primarily based on Yes and No answers. I want to revamp the form and wonder if any of you have you got an example of a simpler form that you would be prepared to share with me?

Posted By Jonathan Breeze It's funny you should ask that Malcolm, but it is one of my job roles. I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Posted By Clare Hazlewood There's lots of information around this subject on the Learning and Skills Council's Safe Learner website, including a sample vetting form on this page: www.safelearner.info/src/area2a.asp

Posted By Linda Crossland-Clarke Hi If you mail me your postal address I can send you a copy of a pre-vet I have hold of. On an aside. There's also a qualification that monitoring officers are meant to undertake to ensure competence on the H&S side of setting up a work placement. Linda.
