Anyone had chance to read the discussion document and comment on it?

Have had a quick read and will be commenting. Interesting to see the comments about the misunderstanding of the "more than 3 day" rule. Apparently 59% of people would have reported an accident where an employee was absent three days only. We have of course discussed this on this site several times - maybe HSE are watching!
I would support the proposals to remove the requirement to report certain occupational diseases. To me the specific diseases and occupations are illogical and out of date.
I would also support the proposal to remove the distinction between major and over-three-day injuries.
Interesting to note that HSE is requesting opinion on whether "at-work" road traffic accidents should be included under RIDDOR. Obviously this would have significant resource implications since apparently this would amount to between 850 and 1000 deaths alone - never mind the injuries.
After all the discussion we've generated on this forum about RIDDOR I would hope a number of us will find time to respond to the Discussion Document.
