Kevin,
You may also want to try CBT Design (just type in cbtdesign.com on the web) or call 01773 828866.
I have found them to be excellent value for money and they will adapt any of their cbt packages to your specific requirements.
We use them in our large NHS Trust.
Cheers
Jane

Hi Kevin,
My company also has Cardinus, it's a good package but like everything relies on the people using it to really think about the questions being asked and answer honestly and objectively for it to be effective. Many people don't like to change!
We have had a recent example of a person having to have physio for a neck strain. The physiotherapist advised that it was probably caused by extended working at a PC in a poor posture.
I risk assessed this persons workstation and checked if the Cardinus software had been used...YES! And if any changes had been identified as a result...NO! Unfortunately I identified a number of problems during my own assessment and the workstation has been reorganised.
We are now planning to revisit the DSE risk assessments for those we class as higher risk ie customer services, as this has knocked our confidence in the use of the software.
Nothing beats an assessment by someone who is objective and has the knowledge.
Hope this helps.
Debbie

The Welsh Development Agency use Willis (www.willis.com) who have an all-singin'/dancin' on-line assessment tool, which gets everyone to test their own ergonomic set-up. Willis then send their people to look at each individual's set-up based on the results of the assessment, and cases of clinical urgency referred by Occupational Health.
This system seems to work in an organisation of about 1300 -all of whom use computers as an essential tool for their work.
