Posted By Ann Guerrini Hi, Can anyone recommend a robust safety knife, it needs to be capable of opening approx 1,000 cartons a day. We are having problems with our current safety knife, the blade falls out after a few uses. The staff are asking if they can go back to using stanley knifes, which I banned sometime ago. Any advice would be much appreciated. Regards Ann

Posted By Melanie Harrison Previous threads have suggested the MARTOR Profi knife - we are currently trialing this knife and it has been very successful so far. Martor.co.uk.

Posted By Paul Daniell We have recently had a review of knives and are now trialing a range of safety knives supplied by Martor. A quick phone call to them should get you a catalogue (01924 281333) or via the web at www.martor.co.uk Initial feedback from the trial is very encouraging with a good level of acceptance from the operators.

Posted By Martin Taylor I know we shouldn't advertise but I too have had very good experience with Martor although I couldn't comment if they will do 1000 cartons a day They do ones with corner guide especially for opening boxes

Posted By Mark Jacobs I trialed a number of alternatives but went for the quickblade from: meadowshealthand safety.com As they are robust and retractable

Posted By Bob Matthews We trialled quite a few safety knives from various companies (they will give you free samples if you ask) and finally opted for the "Fish" knife (the green one) from safety knife company Regards Bob
