Posted By Lorraine Shuker I am studying unit b (hazardous agents) for the Level 4 Dip and finding it really hard. I'm thinking of buying this book to help me. Has anyone got it? How would you rate it? Worth the rather staggering price tag of £57?!! Or does anyone have any other recommendations for stuff to help me with this Unit? thanks

Posted By Jonathan Breeze Lorraine, I would suggest that the purchase of professional texts is always worth it as they are very handy for reference books later on. I would recommend that you purchase one general book and any books for areas that you know you are likely to specialise in for your current role or in the immediate future. As for that particular book - no I haven't read it, but get in touch with your local IOSH branch, they may be able to put you in touch with someone who can lend you a copy. Also there was some talk a while back about a lending library for IOSH members, perhaps someone could let us know where we are at with that?

Posted By John Caboche Lorraine, I own a copy of this mighty tome and found highly useful for the Dip 1 and especially useful for the Dip 2. Lots of useful and relevent information. Recommended. John
