Posted By Paul Grant Have an assignment to do asking for examples of use of hierarchy at all levels. Have got a few to do with construction but would like to feature a few more from other industries if possible. Any examples very welcome Thanks

Posted By Mark Talbot Hi Paul, Sometimes it is difficult to see the wood for the trees... there are so many examples. I work in a trading bank, and one such example is the cleaning materials used in the loos - we all agree that it should be done [so avoiding the process is not an option]; there are safer alternatives to the traditional bleach to be used though [substitution] - so we use citrus-based products; these still have some side effects so we store them away from the general staff and use the substances out of hours [separation]; we only bring them in at the correct dilution and provide the cleaners with training and information; finally we provide the cleaners with gloves [PPE is always last]. It is up to you to use this basic information to develop the exact format to suit your assignment, but I'm sure you get the picture. As you asked for examples, I hope that helps. Mark
