Posted By Andrew Cartridge We are about to start work in the area of a now redundant poultry farm, howver, the pre-tender plan indicates hot spots where droppings have been dumped over the years. Does anybody have any COSHH/MSDS sheets they could let me have that will cover this. Many thanks Andy Cartridge Founder member of the I hate KFC club!!!!

Posted By garyh Withour being clever I would say that I would doubt that a Safety Data Sheet would exist for Poultry manure as it is not a "substance" as such. If I were looking at this I would look at the hazardous "things" it could contain eg Pathogens such as Salmonella also the Fungi that can grow on it. Then look at how they could harm health, what are the routes of exposure and then the control measures. In fact just like a COSHH assessment as you suggested!
